Stop The Bleed

In a nut shell

Stop the Bleed is our campaign to provide training and specialist equipment designed to provide the very best first aid to patients suffering with catastrophic/major bleeds.

Origins

From our first hand experience on the frontline and from talking to our customers, it is clear that door staff in Southampton are dealing with knife crime on a regular basis. They are the first to react and provide first aid often without adequate equipment and relevant training.

As such, Stop the Bleed was created. We are on a mission to identify not just door staff but any industry or persons who are likely to be first on scene to any persons suffering from major or catastrophic bleeds (including lung punctures).

Why our kit?

We have selected military grade equipment also used by the emergency services in our kit as it provides the very best life saving opportunities. There are cheaper alternatives to some of the contents that don't require training however

1) Our kits are aimed for professionals in strategic locations - the people most likely to encounter catastrophic/major bleed/lung wound patients.

2) This is about saving lives. Only the best equipment and training will do.

The Training

Due to the specialist equipment in the kit, accompanying training is essential. Not only will it provide thorough knowledge on how to use the equipment but also bring familiarisation with the kit. This means the first time it's being used, isn't in a life or death situation.

Funding

Currently funding this project relies on the goodwill of companies and venues going above and beyond, willing to reach in their own pocket to help save the lives of the public. If you are interested in helping to fund training or want to help provide kits then please get in touch with us via e-mail or phone. We really want to hear from you.

Venue

We complete the courses at your place of work and can use this to make the practical aspect of the training as realistic as possible. If you don't have the space we can provide a venue at an additional cost.

Times

We are flexible with the timing and days of the week to run our courses at times convenient for your company so you can keep running business in business hours and complete training in the more quiet times. Evenings/weekends are no problem for us.
